We hope that you had a good start to the new year! May you have the best of health, luck and success in 2017!
Our year started with an immediate highlight: the BAU trade fair in Munich once again proved to be an excellent platform for us to present our innovations to our customers and partners. You can get an idea of some of them in this newsletter: the new GEZE Cockpit building control and the drive kit for heavy sliding doors are just two of the highlights that we showed at BAU.
We hope you enjoy your read!

BAU 2017:
Successful attendance at the most important trade fair
|
Interesting conversations, new contacts and lots of inspiration: GEZE can look back on a successful attendance at BAU 2017. Our trade fair highlights, such as the new, intelligent building control GEZE Cockpit in the 'Professional Solutions' area, or the front door pack in the 'Living Solutions' area attracted numerous visitors. The BAU trade fair itself reported once again impressing numbers, too: for the first time, 80,000 of more than 250,000 visitors were from abroad.
State Secretary Gunther Adler of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety visited our trade fair booth and caught up on GEZE solutions for intelligent building networking, especially the new GEZE Cockpit building control. Other topics of his visit were digitisation and the GEZE BIM (Building Information Modeling) solution.

GEZE Cockpit:
Intelligent building control for smart technology
|
Operate buildings efficiently and safely: the new GEZE Cockpit building automation system which was presented at BAU 2017 plays a key part in this. It allows automated products from the areas of door, window and safety technology from GEZE and other manufacturers to be operated reliably and monitored precisely. GEZE Cockpit can be used both as an independent building automation system or be integrated into a higher-ranking building control system. Various options are available depending on the software package.

GEZE drive kit:
move heavy sliding doors easily
|
Large glass elements in terrace and balcony areas provide light-drenched living spaces. GEZE has the right drive kit in its portfolio for particularly large, heavy sliding doors with leaf weights of up to 700 kilograms.
In addition to the drive unit based on the proven GEZE sliding door drives, the package includes, depending on the profile system, customer-specific components such as mounting materials, covers and return pulleys. On request, it can be integrated into a Smart Home system and controlled centrally.

GC 342:
Compact protection of swing doors
|
The new GC 342 sensor from GEZE ensures swing door protection with complete door leaf protection. It can be combined with all GEZE swing door drives for leaf widths of up to 1,600 mm. It operates on the principle of active infrared laser technology and optical triangulation. The GC 342 is ideal for wide doors, difficult floor conditions – for example with metal rails – and for doors with solid vertical pull handles.

Zürich landmark:
Modern solutions in an historic building
|
Zürich's main post office, the 'Sihlpost', is an historical landmark in the city. As part of a major renovation, this building was upgraded to state-of-the-art construction standards. Today, the building does not only serve as a post, but also as a modern city hall for retail, hospitality, business and education. Various automatic door systems from GEZE ensure convenience and safety.
