The countdown has begun: We are very much looking forward to the official opening of our latest building extension in Leonberg in autumn: The innovative development centre will not only see further expansion of our solutions for intelligent building networking – it is itself a true 'Smart Building'. One very special building is also a current reference project from Scandinavia. And there's more: It's a work of art in ice!
Plus, extensions to our GEZE TS 5000 ECline series bring you more possibilities – find out more in this newsletter.
We hope you enjoy your read!

Innovative development centre:
On the home straight!
|
Last summer saw the start of construction of the new GEZE development centre. Now, building work at the company's Leonberg site is reaching the final stages, and the official opening will be taking place in autumn. GEZE has invested ten million euros in the highly innovative building that covers a total of 2,300 square metres. This has lit the touchpaper for developing the performance portfolio with innovative, networked system solutions for doors and windows even further. And there's more: The new building will itself be a Smart Building. .

New BIM plug-in:
Plan doors even faster and more easily
|
With GEZE BIM objects, all you need are five multifunctional doors to very easily plan all the door variants in a building – from swing and sliding doors through to revolving doors. A special plug-in for the Revit, Archicad and Allplan CAD programs allows planners to access the component management system of the GEZE partner BIMwelt System directly from the CAD, and use the door objects that are available.

New components:
Extension of GEZE TS 5000 ECline
|
The new retrofit kit ECline ISM/ISM BG now makes it possible to equip 2-leaf door systems with the functionality of the known GEZE ECline guide rail. This means the user needs less force and can open the door without effort. Also new is the mechanical hold-open device ECline 2-leaf: This facilitates hold-open in combination with opening support on doors with no fire protection requirements.

Icy work of art:
ICEHOTEL 365 – with solar energy
|
The new ICEHOTEL 365 opened its doors this year in the North Swedish town of Jukkasjärvi. The ice hotel concept dates back to 1989 and serves as a tourist attraction in the winter months. The new ICEHOTEL 365 is open to visitors all year-round. The clever thing about it: The ice 'merges' with life in the ice hotel, since it's powered during the summer by solar energy. The hotel's discerning design is matched by the GEZE ECdrive sliding door solution in the impressive glass façade to the entrance area.
